The only tribute to Chinualumogu Achebe that I read was the elegy by Chimamanda Adichie.
Chinua Achebe was 82.
His last book came at a most strategic time, as though he perceived his death.
He paid his debt.
What more could he have achieved? But his death remains a death and leaves grief behind.
Integrity, Intelligent, Honourable are only a few of the words to describe him.
I pray the Nigeria he left behind rises far beyond her shambles.
I pray posterity will not curse this land.
